Dropped the tranz to replace the TOB. Lots of “while i’ m in there stuff too. But the tob the pressure plate and friction disk, all SACHS brand, had this little icon on the box.

My guess is “PROS ONLY”? Why do they care?

Professional Installation Recommended

No white people without wrenches or overalls or hats.

Only for men with a big tool and wearing clothes

It's the "don't be an ID-10-T" sign.

The best part is the look of scorn on the mechanic's face.

I had to ask.... so I got on their website and contacted them. Funny, cause they replied in about 2 minutes.

But this is what he said, "It just designates that it takes some mechanical ability to perform the task of installation."

Not near as funny as what you guys said....

They don't want a warranty claim because of installation error. Also, you need to have a big tool to install a clutch properly.

Went with this Stage 1 Clutch.

Did not have the same warning! Wonder if it is any better? Really think it is just a stronger pressure plate.
