It's an EZ30D from a 00'-04' Legacy. Average price range is $500-1000 (low milage with harness and ECU)
Renegade had nothing to do with it.

why would you want this over an EZ36R?

The main advantage is you can use the factory ECU, with the ez30r and EZ36r you cannot
