Full Version: Hood and Truck hinge paint

Amongst other things I collected the hinges for the lids from the paint shop today. I don't have any reference to how they were before so thought I'd ask the collective if I should take the paint off these areas. Thanks.

I'm no CW, but I'd be tempted to remove the paint from any contact spots. Not that it wouldn't wear off on its own, but I'd prefer the preemptive clean up. Reduce the chance of chipping off, etc.
But again, what do I know...

And let me just say, along with everyone else, your car is... um, er, hmmm...

I would take it to bare metal and put on some Teflon grease.
