The fitting on the right is for fuel intake but what is the fitting on the left for?

been a while but I'm sure it is a vaccum fitting where it goes....not so certain. I think it may go to the charcoal canister. What is the vehicle out of curiosity?
According to google it is an OEM replacement carb. So you might be right about the vacumn port idea....
