Thanks for posting! I saw something a while back and it sure would have been cool to actually be there. I gave it a nano second of thought, but when I heard about it, it was pretty late in the game. Can you imagine being bucks up enough to ship your car there for this historic event? Wow
With history at our backs it was quite something for Porsche with the 914. It was truly a transition model of the times, somewhat like the Cayenne with the SUV market now.
It broke Porsche into the larger US market then. Got good gas mileage and made in "West Germany" .....despite the tariffs ironically at that time sold quite a few here in the US and especially here in California. It was the car....that and the 356...that first peaked my interest in Porsche.
Awesome pictures of the museum. I was there last December with snow and cold.
