Removed my fuel tank tank and had it cleaned and sealed. Tangerine SS fuel lines are in and ready to reassemble. One question, are the supply/return connectors on the tank supposed to have any gaskets or or are they just compression? I ask because when I removed them, they were loaded with so much crap I couldn’t tell if there was anything or not...

Yes there are supposed to be under each “nut” a washer. I can’t remember the
material they were made from. There was a fella here making them and also had some
NOS ones. I’ll try and find a link. Maybe search the Stoddard catalog.

Here’s a thread about them. “ Fiber” washer.

The fiber washer seats between the tank and the ring on the tube. That way it can seal the joint. In fact the washer is on the tube in your picture. It would not be a bad idea to replace it with a new one.
