Same as last year, Weather is good, pool is warm, anyone interested in a BBQ?

A Saturday or Sunday would be the plan, If its a warm day the pool is always good and I have plenty of shade and breeze. If its too hot, the AC is great and I have plenty of indoor seating

If its too cold as it gets later I have a nice fire pit we can always light up and make s'mores.

What weekend? I am going to see Harvey Weidman this weekend and then going down to LA next weekend to meet up with the crew.

Is August better for people? I was just concerned it would be to hot and people won't come. No one wants to drive in the 110+ heat for the silly people that have running 914s.

It looks like next Saturday might be 100, which is perfect pool weather and good bbq weather if I put misters on.

Date change to August 3rd. Give me a little more time to generate interest and prepare.

Oscar I really really appreciate that. I am just not sure it will be ready. It will be close for sure. It all depends upon when it makes it to Aase and how long it takes to actually get the engine in and fired, etc. That is a seriously generous offer and I would definitely cover your fuel and food if that works out. Plus your trailer is a beauty and my car would be honored to ride on it.

Well I'm headed out of town for a week leaving that Saturday but it would only add an hour to the drive and provide a "rest" break for the "long" drive. I have to think safe and stay rested and alert, right?

Ok, I'm only turning an hour and a half drive into a two and a half hour drive, so this may work out.

Weather is hot right now but supposed to cool off to 96 high, which means that it'll be really nice for swimming and likely pretty good with the breeze.

That being said the house will be at 76deg


I updated the list in the first post for the people who have said they are coming/not coming.

Probably be about the same turnout as last year. I'm still trying to get some more locals and havent heard back from a few.

So Mary is officially on board with the BBQ!

We will be on our way to Angles Camp with a little detour to Modesto.
I will be bringing some local Sacramento craft beer, I'm an IPA drinker but I will bring something else too.
I have not talked to Mary about what food item we might bring to share.
A healthy salad is probably a good bet.

Bummer, Just got the car running again and I'll be gone that weekend.

Maybe next time

Less than a week till the BBQ! Weather will be a high of 98. So its "Lets see what your daily driver looks like" weather Unless you plan on coming early and leaving late. It'll cool off pretty good by about 7.
I'll be setting up misters in the backyard so it'll be plenty nice and the house has plenty of seating for those that dont like the heat.

I'll be messaging everyone coming and sending them the address and a reminder.



I need to know what everyone is planning on bringing. I still need the below:

Green salad/Healthy salad

Watermelon/Fruit salad

Damn, I may have a conflict. I will not know for sure until tomorrow hopefully. I may have to be out of the area Saturday, returning Sunday down in the L.A. area. Not related to my car, but if I end up down there, I will of course stop in to Jim's to see my car.

Count on me and my wife. I will chime in on side dishes in the next day or so.
