Changing my mined, regarding my 914-6GT tribute, I have a 50 amp alternator with external regulator and relay board. Would like to have an alternator with internal regulator so I can eliminate the relay board all together. Looks like Valeo, 75 amp #911 603 120 04 is the correct one (1982) this will fit the earlier fan housing if milled 10 mm. Thanks, Mark

Buy a used core on pelican and have it refurbished at your local shop

Make sure you check your fan housing depth. Some of the alt have a different spacing.

There's a thread on Pelican about this but don't have it saved.
I went through this several years ago on my late 2.7 with ext reg.
Do a search before you buy one to make sure you get the correct alt.
