Anyone using Hella h4 halogen headlights on their 914
-Will these flat fluted headlights fit the stock metal headlight baskets(retainers) and stock chrome headlight retaining rings?
-Who sells these at a reasonable price? Thnx L

Yes, they will fit. Search Hella 7" round headlamps. Another good upgrade are the stock headlamps off the newer Jeeps. People upgrade them and sell the stock ones cheap.

I believe the Hella headlamps are available in both sealed beam and replaceable H4 bulb versions. Both should be DOT approved. Suggest the replacement H4 bulb version.

A better headlamp is the French Cibie. Here are some comparisons:

A better choice are Cibie Z-Beams. Much brighter than Bosch H4s or Hellas. The Z-Beams were also reknowned for their sharp vertical low-bam cutoff. Original versions were discontinued in the 90's.
