Car is a '73 2.0 with d-jet and forward mounted fuel pump. Idle disappears after hard driving or freeway/uphill driving. Any ideas out there? Is this part serviceable or replaceable? Do tell....thank you.

What is your cold start rpm. Should be around 1600. AAR should be open allowing more air into the plenum. Do not set your idle at cold start.

That's what I thought.....thanks Chris. I'll set the idle when it warmed up and see what happens.

Take it out for a drive for about 30 miles or so, when you get back set the idle speed.
