You are right! Was hoping someone had one lying around not for $36 + ship though.

The rubber only is $16 a set, it's really what needs replacing.

The rubber is the only thing that really fails the rest is how much bling you want, and yes we could have done reg steel and plated it, but the cost would have been about the same. It's mostly in the labor to produce.

I have a pair of used straps, no guarantee on the rubber but not torn yet! Last image shows the rubber under stretch. $12 shipped.
