Here is an original working coil for 914-6 and 911 motors with a freshly plated bracket with new decal. Hard to find. $145 shipped.

Curious ... what does the decal symbolize? ... not to test the coil with an ohm or volt meter?

I really do not know. The bracket before plating had the identical decal and I was able to find a repro. Just trying to achieve originality.

My guess is they don't want you to test it with an analog meter. I think that older meters apply current to the circuit to calculate resistance, and perhaps it's enough to produce a spark when you pull the leads away?
