I just purchased a 1970 -914-4. Signal orange with appearance package. Is this car rare if so how rare

Just a regular early car. Dealers ordered them loaded to get the most profit from them since they were a new model. When they arrived they added radios, stripes, undercoating etc.

Wrong side stripes for a 1970. Those did not come out until the 1974 model year

thank you for rescuing it, will be a fun project. A lot of the early cars were non appearance group for the price point, so you actually have a rarer early car, but of common production.
