I just had a headlight relay fail. I cut it open, and it was full of water.

I’m new to this 914 thing. I’m guessing by the way everyone’s jumping all over these, I better jump in too. I’m assuming the originals are ?

In for the 5 plus the 2 spares.

The originals were not bad, but getting near 50 and they are do fail, just a matter of time, however the OEM ones you could get 10 years on easily with daily use.

The ones that were remade by another company had a notoriously high failure rate and when I last checked they were still "re making them" Leaving the original purchasers high and dry without ANY warranty, I'm sure they will chime in now and say oh yes, we are improving the product and we will be "happy" to take care of you.
Now there is another choice. You notice they didn't recall and offer to make it right, only when called out.

That and price points went up once they thought they "owned the market"

So that's my vent, I'm sure I kicked a hornet's nest, but it's all true.

Yes but we have 59 folks that are interested on the total of 100 sets, so yeah, I may be giving away a few, but the reg "sale" price at $15 will be available til the end of the month.

I'll work on getting the listings together in the next day or so so we can open this up before we sell out all the 100 sets.

I figure if I spend $30-35 for ~50 relays, there will be enough good ones in there for the life of my car...

Nope. I need affordable light bumpers that are less expensive than the current offerings.

And this was the most blatant abuse of marketing in the garage I've ever seen. I love Mark and 914rubber and all they do. But if everyone marketed like this in the garage it would destroy the place. There's another forum for that. A notice here in the garage, linking to a vendor forum thread would be great.
