Question: I’m looking at purchasing a complete front suspension from a 84 Porsche 911 for my 914. A question that came up was 3” or 3.5”. Koni, Boge, or Bilstein? At this time I have stock fenders but plan on upgrading to GT Steel fenders in the near future on my 1974 - 914. Whats is a good fair price on a complete front suspension thats in good shape including the brakes? $12-$1,500.00?

It will have 3.5" (probably) Boge struts. $1,200-15 is a good price. The carrera brakes with throw your front rear brake balance out of wack and the front end will be heavier than the stock suspension but many people have made the switch and live with the negatives.

Yea, that's the going rate for a complete front swap. Struts, hubs, arms, calipers, rotors, torsen bars & adjusters, AL crossbar, and swaybar.

Carrera rotors are 24mm thick where the SC and earlier and 914-6 are 20mm, so a few pounds lighter.

You run what you score.... I grabbed an SC setup last year for $600 for the 72 and back in the 90s I grabbed a Carrera setup & rears for $300 currently on the 3.0L.

You will also need a 19mm master cylinder.

Contact Rich Johnson, (a914guy), he has front strut set up, brakes etc. Use your A-arm and crosss member. Great products and seller. Mark
