I am trying to figure out how to reassemble the seam where the rear trunk panel meets the inner and outer rear fender metal. What is the stock "layering"? In other words, what panel in inside, outside, or sandwiched in the middle?

What I have is a bit of a mess, from a pervious crappy repair (with a replacement rear panel brazed on) plus some collision damage and some rust. And I would like to reuse the rear panel I cut out, after I straighten a bit in the middle.
gms
inside to outside
- inner wheel house
- rear panel
- quarter panel

What Glenn said. You can see a piece of the tail light panel still in between the inner wheel house and qtr. panel.

Thanks, everyone. That's what I thought but nice to get expert info.

Dig in here. I did a complete tail light panel swap on Doug's car.
