It's usually the pivots not the motor.

I sprayed lube down the shafts with the arms off and all of crap came out,once clean and lubed they went faster,have Boxter motor to swap over when I feel inclined.
Also to add I replaced both arms and blade assemblies and they went smoother and wiped a hell of a lot better.

Seattle and Portland get more rain than some other western cities, but less than most midwest and eastern US cities.
Plus, no harsh winters. We can drive our teeners year round.
