...dunno, but the trunk on the red one is jacked...looks like it has taken a pretty good hit in the back. I'm surprised they painted it with the lid like that..... or maybe I'm an idiot and the trunk's just not completely closed.

Either way, I'm envious of the fact that you were there, while I watched the damn thing on T.V.

Impossible to tell if it was a good or bad price until we know how much rust and rust repair there is.

IMHO, these are fair prices for the big bumper cars that are passable drivers.

BTW, someone in another post stated that cars don't sell in the winter. I think BJs January auction is their highest volume auction and their biggest money maker. Car guys are car guys. smile.gif

We just had a BJ auction in PHX recently in Jan. In PHX our good weather is winter, mild day temps, bad weather in summer, very hot.

But I don't think all the buyers are from the Phoenix area. smile.gif

No FI definitely reduced desirability.

Plunk down 15k on a 914, or any car, that I can't drive first? No thanks.

It also says carbs so there is a good chance it's either been rebuilt to 2.0 or a 2.0 has been substituted for the original engine.
76-914
Says "Carb" singular! Even worse. May be a deal and may be a Polished Turd. confused24.gif

I remember the car being a pretty good runner when Shane owned it. THEN it was a 1.7 with Webers. Who knows what the story is with the 2.0 confused24.gif unsure.gif

Two 914s were sold last Jan. at Barrett Jackson for more than $20,000 and were both in about the same condition as these two. The selling prices on these cars seems to be all over the map.
