Hey guys,

I am running a 1976 912E Type 4 2.0 in my 1967 912; and of course, my stock 1967 temp gauge isn't compatible with the temp sender on the Type 4.

Can someone suggest an aftermarket temp gauge that will work with the stock sending unit? Or is it best to replace both?

What does it use, 911 gauges? Why not incorporate the correct sendr into your Type 4 engine?

The temp senders are the same physical size. The only difference is the calibration. So just buy an oil temp sender for the 67 and bolt it in the 912E engine. Granted, you have to pull the taco plate, but you can do that at your next oil change.
