Morning all
Is there a finish on the wheels that gives the satin or polished finish
I expected it to be either polished or non polished alloy but it appears to have been broken through in places Click to view attachment Click to view attachment

They are anodized. The pedals ate polished and the recessed areas satin.

Thanks, that's good to know

That looks nice. What was your procedure?

Will you attempt to seal the "new" fiinish or just stay on top of polishing it?

I used a 200 grit sanding pad on a 3" airsander to remove the anodising and the scuff marks etc... then went upto 600 then 1000 then 2000 then polished with a mopping pad and autosol metal polish
I had to planish the centre cap to get it reasonably flat first as it was pretty beat up ten sanded it flat before polishing
dt4
I will see how they get on before deciding whether to seal them

When you polish they will be more shinny. I stock the polished and the anodized.
Polishing and making look good take a lot of time. That and dis-similar metals will continue to corrode the OEM caps making them hard to remove

Make sure to look at the set of 4 as it's cheaper than individuals
