Is the flat spring in this handle intact ? The tip feels very smooth, not broken.
I have two of these handles in 1970 cars and both require a very curious motion to
engage and release.
I have seen this flat part completly broken off.
Is this one intact ?

no but looks bent, the new rod with tension spring are readily available, just not the complete early handbrake assembly

So.....which is it ? No, it's not broken or No, it's not intact
My coil spring is fine.
A new rod for the early handle is available ?
A reliable source ?
