There are no cones....how will we know where to go?
I suppose that I could leave my doors wide open and glide down.

cones won't be necessary. i think there are discussions to just make it a time trial to the bottom. the trick is to stay within the black lines on the way down.

I dont think you would want to go fast on Lions Back!
That is an awefully long drop off the side, and the begining/end can be a doozie!

the 914 has a pretty good LCG. i can't imagine why it would be difficult. however, it might put a strain on stock brakes (b/c we all know how well those work). i think we are planning this event for the Sunday drive, just to make sure that anyone who arrives by saturday won't miss it.
there will be an awesome prize to the winner. (details to follow)

Cruise through Phoenix and we'll hook up for the rest of the drive. I am going for sure. As soon as I am done typing this I am reserving my room.
Who else from AZ is going?
Things to do before I go(any assistance is welcome!)
1 - Get new tires
2 - Get interior completely installed.
3 - Get latches and everything related back on so top can be put on(just in case!)
4 - Get alignment
5 - Get LOF and valves adjusted
6 - Get tool kit together(I'm hoping one of you guys will know how to use them)
7 - I'm sure more things will come up as we get closer.

like with everything... I'm flexible.
but way back in the beginning, I kind of it in my head that we would get a Colorado Caravan to leave denver on friday morning and get there noonish--- maybe a tiny bit latter.
I even tenatively am considering bringing a trailer.
sort of depends on if I get my car running and ready in time.
If I have a running 914, then I'll probably bring the trailer and tow the teener out. Plus Gint said he may want a ride, so the trailer could be empty or at least available as a support vehicle.
If I can't get the 914 running in time, then I may not trailer... but haven't decided for certain.
I hope that Joe and some NM guys come up to denver and we put them up in club members spare rooms on that thursday evening so they can caravan with us on friday.
I also hope that John Lush and some of the WY guys do the same and come to denver the night before.
potentially we could have a 15 car caravan coming from Denver if we get the colorado contingent organized.

i will have PLENTY of room if people need a place to stay.
i guess we can plan things better a month from now, but i was just wondering if i should start to look for a trailer, or plan on driving.
Who's bringing kids? i would love to bring my 2 1/2 year old.
and if anyone is bringing a teenage babysitter, that would be great too.
