I have always loved the 911 Fuchs. I think they look awesome on 914/6 but is there a way to install them on a stock 914/4? Aftermarket is fine. Maybe an adapter from 4 lug to 5? Any ideas?

There are adaptors. Personally I wouldn't use them. And the offset gets messed up by them.

So you can replace the hubs I guess..

Or you can doe the cheapskate (and wrong version) and just re-drill the existing disks.

That sounds way more involved than I had in mind. Most likely why more 914/4's are not running around with them.

Thanks, Roger

Most 15 & 16" Fuchs are 6". With an adaptor, they will probably be too wide for a stock body car, Especially since the extra inch will be on the outside. Best bet is to buy the PMB Performance 5 lug kit or stick with 4 lug Fuchs.

Been there, done that, had to pull the Fuchs and adapters off as they were too wide.

The " cheapskate " way is really not that cheap. I ran my " big four " 1973 914 in auto-Xs and track days from 1997 until 2014 with 7" Fuchs and 225/50/15 Stickies. Drilled front and rear rotors and rear hubs. Absolutely no problems.

PMB rotor/hub kit with 7"x16" ET23 Fakes fit just fine on a regular 914/4 body.
No extra room, but everything is clear.

Time and $ ... Yes

But if you want to roll with the /6 crowd
Its kinda a prerequisite.

5 lug is how all /6 s came ? Right

So bigger , rubber , higher performance . etc is what going. 5 lug is all about

And it allows you to use larger vented rotors ? I believe
Something thats not gonna happend w/ 4 lug Fuchs

Not all of them. I had to roll the lips and stretch the quarters out on mine

Yes. For most cars, 6' with 205x60x15 are as wide as you can go while staying stock fenders. Some people squeeze more in but it's very few cars that will work without "work". Same with 6 & 7' cookies.

I would have 100% confidence in the redrilled 5 lug kit from PMB.
