Any support for the earlier cars with fixed passenger seats?

My experience is that maintaining seat covers like this one is a LOT more expensive.

I would love to add the green 42 tartan ( or plaid ) to my 914 - who sells the material?

Nobody has any green right now. The mill that makes it is not running right now. I am in contact with them weekly because I have a few orders I’m waiting on. I also bought all of Automobile Atlanta’s bulk tartan inventory right before the virus outbreak. And 914rubber says they don’t have any either. I will PM you as soon as it is available.

Here are the seats I sourced a few days ago from a local SoCal
member for my V8 car.
I'm recovering centers with plaid, and adding grommets for a Singer type appearance. Adding heat to the seats too.

The product says for use on vinyl. Are you using that on the fabric also?

Yes vinyl plastic and cotton, poly or wool. It works the same way.

Every time I see the plaid, reminds me of what great interior colors would have been in the future of the 914 if they had continued it.

Like what colors, George? Besides black or the awesome white interiors? I have always hated the tan or brown interiors in these cars....

I believe I went with 13 oz (it was the thicker of the 2 options) ... I had them done at Autos International, and they ordered the Tartan from a place in the mid-west.

Please do a build thread on this, for selfish reasons, I have the same seats, the tartan interiors, the seat heaters and maybe coolers I can't remember.. But would love to see the grommets work and how your going to work around the seat heaters.

Just set in a flap for the grommets should work fine
