after much fiddling to find the issue with my wipers & horn (sorted now) i noticed a metal cased relay which is in place, according to jeff bowlsby diagram, for the headlamps. I would like a plastic cased one to stop any interference.

The relay is
803941589 vw.
2x150 watts
with pins 56, 56a, 56b & 30

Is there a replacement for this? All i can see is relays with pins labelled in the 80's and rated in 30 or 40 amps only with no mention of wattage.

Mine is part number 111941583 same rating and connector labels. They are plastic cases now. I could not find a metal case version that was new.

Standard VW Beetle headlight relay. Should be available with VW sellers.
