Looks like someone painted these wheels some time ago. Anyone ever used paint stripper on them?

You might consider just having them soda blasted to remove the black paint. I remember when the 914's were brand new and dealerships were painting the wheels (owners as well) to make them look like Fuchs.

I used aircraft remover on a wheel I wanted the paint removed from. Worked well for me.
