I had the above installed in my 914-6 conversion and it fit and worked perfectly.
Ultimately I went a different direction with my battery needs.
Less than 100 miles driven with the the battery in the car.
Battery has always been kept on the special Lithium charger.

Highlights of the battery include:
Very lightweight at 11.5 lbs
1200 cranking amps
30 Amp-hr capacity
"Re-start" technology where the battery will turn itself off leaving enough power available for a couple more starts
Full battery management against over charging, over discharge and more
LED's on the battery show that the battery is on (or off) and the charge level
The "Re-start" button can also be used to turn off the battery....kind of a poor man's auto theft deterrent.

This Lithium Ion battery is better than conventional Pb in lower weight and no chance to leak acid and better than an AGM in weight savings.

The mounting kit/bracket was trimmed on both sides by a local water jet company such that it fits into the stock 914 battery tray perfectly.
The back part of the bracket slides under the rear hold down in the tray, while the factory hold down clamp works on the front part of the bracket.
Info on the hold down kit is here:

Dimensions for the battery are 9.55 x 6.2 x 7.9 in.
It easily fits under the engine lid on my car, but since it's a six now, I don't use the rain tray.
Looks like there is plenty of room beneath the lid for the rain tray without hitting the battery.
I can take additional measurements if needed....just let me know.

Details of the Lithium battery dedicated charger is here:

This entire setup was horribly expensive from Antigravity with:
Lithium Ion RS-30 battery $699.99
RS-30 mounting kit $179.99
OptiMate TM-291 charger $116.99

for a total of $996.97 not including shipping or water jet mods on the mounting kit.
(I didn't say I was the smartest guy or most frugal in the world)

If anyone is interested in taking this off my hands, I'd consider $520 shipped anywhere in the Lower 48. The $20 above the $500 is to help pay for the shipping.

It's a great battery, fits perfectly in the 914, starts the car with no issues, lightweight.
I think you'll be happy.
If not, return it to me no questions asked.
You'll be the only guy in the world with this battery in a 914....how do I know this? Because I used to be that guy. Ha wink.gif
Best, Doug
