Was hunting a stiff gas pedal issue on our 75 2.0 and discovered that the throttle bushings are worn. Can the throttle body be rebuilt?

Thanks for any help or guidance.

mepstein
Yes. There's someone on the samba who does them.

Had my TB rebuilt by user Bartlett 914 here on the world site a month or so ago, came out great

Adding a buddy to the discussion - @malcolm2 , weren't you having your TB rebuilt and bushings replaced a while back?

Yeah, here's a thread where I got turned onto him:

I'm thinking of buying one of his bespoke TBs for the Microsquirt project.

....Phil did mine as well....just got it back last week. I've included a few pics of his work:

A member here lent me his reamer tools and gave me bushings for mine. I'm about to send his tools back to him. It worked like a charm. Took about 20 minutes total. I smoke tested it for vacuum leaks. Perfect! Easy fix.

I spoke to the guy in New Mexico. Very nice guy, but out of my price range. Beautiful work, but figured I'd give it a try myself.

Original Customs built two of them for me... they’re beautiful!

yep had mine done 2 years ago and it’s better than new as you can see, perfect.
Well worth the price.

Thanks, the throttle body was shipped off to Phil this morning.

Will report back.

Yes. Phil did mine. Very nice work. He adds a few non-original features. I could feel an acceleration smoothness after his work. He replies quickly to your questions and gave guidance get it installed and attached. If you have some cores, he will discount his price a bit.

You'll never get the hard pedal out with that 75 tb. Swap with one from a73. Made my foot so much happier.
