Is there a way to correct our speedometers since most of us are running lower profile tires than those originally on the car

I think of it as speeding ticket safety margin.

Calibrate with another car & then put a small cool decal on the speedo at 65 MPH.

I had North Hollywood Speedometer recalibrate mine for my 195/55/15's - it's dead on now after comparing to GPS. Go to TireRack.com - they have a tire size comparison calculator.

There are free GPS speedometer aps available for cell phones. I use one to mentally calibrate mine for a couple of key cruising speeds. I run 195 65 15s so the error only really shows at the higher speeds.
