I know there’s been a few threads. But I’m stuck.
Bone stock 1976. I’ve checked the access panel in the front trunk. Only the fuel pump there. Checked rear engine bulkhead, and inside engine bay.
Where am I not looking? Many thanks. Gary

How far did you pull out the pump ?
See if you can pull more hose on the left side.

I didn’t pull it out much at all. There didn’t seem to feel like there was much spare tubing.
Will the pump pull right out?
It probably must be there.

Should be in the holder on the wall directly behind fuel pump

Click to view attachment Forgot I have a few chassis on site.
Black hoses are going out the fuel pump mounting plate.
Those
fingers next to the steering column hold the filter.

So I found the filter - was behind the fuel pump.
I think it was the original, never changed. 40k miles over 44 years.
It looked a bit gummed up. It’ll like running on a fresh filter!

You may want to replace your tunnel fuel lines including engine bay fuel lines to Stainless Steel.

I’ve checked them. All sound. No issues.

You absolutely sure? 44 year old plastic tubes usually not quite so sound.
The metal stubs you can actually see that go though the rubber grommet only extend into the tunnel about 12" then change to plastic.
