Thanks

Yes.

Tweeks list them. I have NO idea who is making them..but Mike Harris and I looked into them about 1.5 years ago.

Thanks.....

Oh, I updated my website....and I noticed on your site (all914), the info page is not current so people that do not know you, cannot contact you...(is that on purpose? LOL)
Jeroen
IIRC Tweeks is were Paul (URY914) got his front fenders and they have rears as well
You might give both rennspeed.com and aircooledracing.com a try

cheers,

Jeroen

ps. yeah, Brad should do something about his contact page biggrin.gif

Jeroen is right (again) I got my "stocK" f/glass fronts at Tweeks. They are made by a company called ACI. American Custom Industries and I am sorry to say they make CORVETTE!!! parts!!! barf.gif

After I have had them on for a little while I noticed that at the top of the wheel openning they actually depress toward the inside. So I had to cut them and pull them out. But other than that they are OK but I wouldn't put them on a street car. Street cars need to be steel.

I'm just thinking of ways to make up for the weight of the cage thats going in....'glass fenders seem like a decent idea....of course 'glass deck lids front and rear would be even better smile.gif
URY914
Glass lids would also be a lot easier too. Fenders are a lot of work.

do the hoods and bumpers in glass

you can get the glass fenders in 'street car quality' (basically an extra layer or two of glass) and if the molds are good, you should not be able to see any difference with steel fenders once painted.

It will be a lot of work though (removing old fenders and fitting and attaching the new glass fenders) while the hoods/bumpers are more "bolt on"

If you wanna save weight, sort out the interiour

Jeroen

Since we're on this topic, does anybody happen to know why the 914 fenders (front at least) were not made like the 911, i.e. bolt on? For those of you not familiar, the 911 front fenders can be removed quite quickly and easily; 6-8 bolts or so.
Jeroen
I don't know why they welded the front fenders to the chassis instead of bolting it on (like the 911 and many others).
It sure would have made our lives easier it they had

Drop 20 lbs Mike.

Dont put ALL914 on your site Mike. I havent made any effort to update the site and my focus is on SSI and not ALL914.

I don't have another 20lbs to loose, maybe at the most 5 lbs if I starve myself smile.gif

The trip to Louisiana was good for me physically, I lost all my excess weight from sweating and working on the house (115 sheets of sheetrock hung in less than a week will do that do you) mueba.gif

I'll reluctantly remove ALL914 from the site sad.gif

Need any help up there at SSI ? , things are slow here at work..........
