Would like to purchase a new or really good fuel tank for 1974 914. Needs to have the mounting tabs for the expansion (?) tank. See attached photo.

A 76 tank will not have the mount for the charcoal canister as they moved it to the engine bay. They moved it late 74.
What Bruce said ................ you can get them new from Dansk. I have a late one on a cart for the DP project, nice piece.
Hopefully one of the vendors will chime in for you. But 914LIVE is a great source too.

This was discussed in another ad but the new Dansk units dont have the charcoal can mount either.
But there is nothing stopping you from removing it from your bad tank and attaching to that new one
