oops I put slightly too much oil in after changing, it is 1/8 inch above the top mark. How much of a concern is this?

Some autocrossers run a quart over to prevent oil starvation in the turns. The case seems to have plenty of room. No worries.

it will be a very small amount of oil.

1/8" is a drop in the pond. No worries! It's not THAT critical.
