Another quick question if anyone can help - I have a Nov 72 914-4 with a 73 year Vin. I'm changing my front brake hoses and my car does not currently have a sway bar. I noticed my car has a reinforcing triangle behind the shock beneath the undercover?

Was this fitted to all cars (whether the swaybar was installed or not ) or has mine had a swaybar removed??

Thanks for any advice - if I remove the fuel tank i guess it might answer the question!

It was stamped that way but it’s not extra metal.

Thanks Mark, I've got a Tarett bar and fittings to put in, but wanted to check if the reinforcing plates were necessary - I also need to get my welding skills in order!
