I am shooting for 7.3 CR on this build up of a 1.8 to a 2.0. I have been measuring and calculating like crazy.

I did each piston's deck height in 4 places. putting more trust in the deck height at the pins (9 o'clock and 3 0'clock) 12 o'clock and 6 do show some rocking but I kinda average the rocking.

Question: should I shoot for a # calculated as UNDER my goal and figure the torquing will squish me closer to my goal?

0.03 shim CR results by cylinder: 7.41, 7.38, 7.28, 7.37, respectively.
0.04 shim CR results 7.27, 7.24, 7.14, 7.23, respectively.

#3 is usually the hottest, so I am assuming since it's CR is lower, it may even out the heat....maybe?

am I obsessing? Over thinking? It is just a daily driver Bus. shades.gif

Camper Specials with 55.2 total CCs. Dished bus pistons with 10 CCs. using no shim average DH as 0.0253, .0273, 0.0345, 0.028, respectively.
