SOLD!

I'm selling my 1975 Chalon. I resurrected this car for my son to drive to high school, but he got himself a Miata so it's now for sale.

This is a running, driving Porsche 914 with a very "eighties" fiberglass body kit. 1975 means it's pre-smog forever. Original California car on original blue plates. Clean title. Current registration. No cancerous rust in hell hole, longs, trunk, floors, cowl, etc. No signs of prior rust repair. Just some areas of surface rust under the vintage paint job. Original color was L13K Summer Yellow.

I resurrected this car for my son to drive to high school, so no expense was spared for safety or reliability. Entire fuel system flushed, new fuel hoses, new fuel pump and new filter. New brake pads, rotors all around, and flex hoses. New master cylinder. New Dunlop Direzza tires. New battery. Rebuilt (side shift) transmission. Even has original jack.

The chassis shows no signs of accident damage either before or after the fiberglass kit was installed. There are some stress cracks in the gel coat and of course the vintage paint is faded. The interior is nice and clean, with clean carpets, good seats and back pad and door panels. All the lights, gauges and horn work, except the clock. Comes with optional console, way-retro electric Vitaloni mirrors (working!), new Pioneer AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo and speakers. Heat and fresh air all connected and working.

The 1.8L engine won't set the world alight, but it starts easily and got my son to school and back just fine. It does have a hydraulic cam (fewer valve adjustments!), dual Webers (40 IDF), and backdated '73-'74 style 2.0L heat exchangers and muffler.

Sold for $5500 $6500 $7500, car located in San Jose, CA.

thanks,
Carl

Small world I worked at the Foxworthy shopping Center “House of Vacuums” as a kid in 1965. I was just out of high school and lived in apartments down the street. I was regular at the bar in the small strip mall across the street From my apartment at yes 16 years of age. The good old day’s!
