When the foams are partially gone (both backing and seat bottom) are they worth anything?

Cores dont sell for much but please don’t throw them away.

I have a set of cores that I will be modifying like that...eventually. I wonder if metal tubing was used to form the bolsters.
Definitely don't throw them out!
