1973 2.0L DJet stock:

I replaced my fuel pump about a year ago with a rebuilt unit.
car runs great.
fuel pressure perfect.
valves adjusted. etc.

today it's around 90 degrees, nice and hot outside.
did my usual ride around Bergen County, about half an hour (not sure how many miles)

got home...after about half an hour I thought I'd test hot start.
it didn't start
starter turning over....getting some fuel, not enough to keep her running.

experienced this after first replacing the fuel pump about a year ago.

any suggestions or experience with this issue?

thanks flag.gif

I have one that is out of a low mileage 73 1.7. $50 shipped if you want.
I relocated my pump to the front with the tangerine kit and their 2 port pump.
Is yours in the stock location still?
I would highly recommend the relocation as it is not that difficult except for the stainless lines through the tunnel and if you still have the plastic lines in the tunnel you should not drive the car until you replace them.
Let me know
Chris
