One of my neighbors just put his house on the market. It was custom designed for him by a renowned architect. It is supposedly designed to look like an encampment of tents in the desert. Luckily, you can't see this place from the road.

Renowned? Renowed for his bad taste? They should paint it one colour, and hope they get a rich guy with astigmatism so he can't see the ugly lines.

We use to see houses like that in Orange........... but it was because they had bugs...

The house was designed by Michael Graves. Not surprisingly, he doesn't show any pictures of it on his website. I had to dig a bit, but he does list it in a pdf file of his projects as the "Uffleman House".

I'm going to see this place tomorrow. Should we put in a bid and make it our clubhouse?

Looks like a great place, just remove the home. I like the pool and golf course.

I'm not surprised... it does LOOK very Euro-disney...

I met graves on a visit to Princeton... great guy, but some of his stuff is kooky...

all good architects have some crazy stuff...

It is a sad commentary on our society that a person that is so obviously delusional can amass enough money to waste it on childish fantasy.
