Got the car running again! New TPS and addition of Pertronix.

TPS set, timing on the mark at 3000 rpm. Idle sits at 1500 rpm.

How do I lower it?

... did you plug the vacuum hose to the distributor when you set the timing?
Some info about your car will help people give informed help. Carbs or FI, etc.

No, vacuum hose was unplugged as per Haynes.

2.0, original FI. That’s why it has a TPS.

ok so the line was off the distributor during the setting of the timing per Hanes, good, but was the line going back to the throttle body plugged so its not allowing a vac leak during that, and is itnow back connected, this will pull your idle back down to normal if it is not connected to the vac canister. - if all that is now connected, my guess is a vac leak somewhere else, or idle mix is too rich, also idle screw on the throttle body could be open or the AAr not closing,

Yes, line was plugged. I’ll check the AAR and the mixture screw.
