Have recently bought a 914 - 1972 - date 12/7 - 1689 cc which is running terrible and produces a gasolie smell. Have tried to tune with the existing ECU and Pressure Unit, but no good results. Found out the ECU has a numer 0280-000-037 and the Pressure Unit 311-906-051B
Presume these unit are not correct for this engine.
Anybody could provide me with ECU and Pressure Unit numbers that fit this engine ?

I'm not seeing your MPS (pressure sensor) listed on the site though, so it may be an incorrect MPS as DJet was used in other cars as well. The MPS can be calibrated for each car though. They are essentially the same and just calibrated differently depending on how much fuel is required. There's an explanation on how to calibrate it on that site as well.

You may have a slight mismatch on MPS / ECU. The ECU appears to be correct for '72/'73 1.7L car, but not sure about the MPS.

There is a close match to your MPS part number on that site, but it may be a typo as it is not an exact match. Couldn't find an exact match across all the P/N's for MPS. The closest points to a '69/'70 1.7L.

Maybe @Nordfisch will check in and clear it up. He's exceptionally knowledgeable on D-Jet, particularly European applications.

the ECU is the correct one.
Your MPS is false - meant for the VW type 3 1600 ccm.

You need the 022906051E that was installed to VW type 4 (411) and the 914.
Bosch # is 0 280 100 049, search for 0280100049 and you will find several used units.

I wish you find a unit that wasn't misadjusted and with the diaphragm not broken.

Check this when you receive the part. Follow the link Beatnavy posted. A MPS with broken diaphragm cannot work correctly.

Hi, yes your MPS is for a VW Type3 with Injection, so try to get hold of the correct 914 one for your car. But that does not really explain the heavy gas smell you state as symptom, so maybe you have not 1 issue. Try to sort it out one at the time.

maybe you misunderstood what Brad describes in his articles. He describes how to tune a factory-adjusted MPS 'better' to one specific engine.

It's not true the MPSs are all the same.
Different MPS of the same type but with different part numbers contain a different hardware setup like different springs in most cases.
Therefore it's mostly not possible to tune a MPS to another engine model.
Maybe you can tune it to one specific load situation on a dyno, but the behavior on other load will not be sufficiant.

No they are not all the same. Different springs and inside the Cover on some is a raised boss to limit the WOT range. For a 72 1.7l a 049 is the MPS you want
