How far up the outer wheelhouse does the degradation go ?
Need to see the bottom too.

on positive note: the jack point is still there the door line looks straight - how about you put a jack in it & lift & tell us what happens?

Leaves and dirt accumulates there between the rocker and jack point. Typical issue. You need to dig further. Where did the car spend its life, dry west or east coast?

And of the actual car...

First pictures not my car - I though it would be similar enough of a pattern that it would be indicative but apparently it is quite individual to the car still.

How are you doing with the fires? Air quality has been pretty bad I know.

Is there a correct order to this repair?

Outside/visible and then underside?

So far, we've been lucky, there are two major fires close-by but each of them is still about 25 miles away.

As for the air quality, the winds are shifting during the day (typical for this time of year), when we get a breeze from the ocean the air is ok, when it shifts around, we get heavy smoke and keep all windows closed.
