Hello Suspension experts. Looking to swap out my stock rear springs. Seeing as I have an LS6 I was thinking the 180 or 200 pound springs would be good?

I just purchased some new koni shocks,

thoughts, comments, concerns always welcomed smile.gif

thank you

I THINK the 180 - 200 is light for a V8, but do some research. I have a set of Carrera brand 260 lb. springs, they're 2.5" ID x 10"L
$55 shipped (F&F).

thank you for the offer Literati. I have some more homework to do before I buy anything. Those springs look like a great deal, just need to figure out my front torsion specs and the ride height for the rear.

With the LS the 200# spring should be in the ballpark.

You will want to measure your flange plates to check fit if you use the 2.5 ID springs.

Sorry we only make the 140/160 progressive, it may be a bit light for your application if you are really getting on it.
@matty900 Are you using the 140/160's on your set up?

Renegade Hybrids has 200 lbs springs in 914 diameter.

With an LS and an aluminum block, you are not enough off from the original engine that you would need that much more spring is my understanding. I installed the 914 Rubber 140 lb progressive springs but my car is at the body shop currently so I have no road time on them yet. I will however be heading to Renegade a week from Monday to plan out the rest of my build and I can report back then. beerchug.gif
