Anyone know the correct screw size and hardware for mounting the license plate brackets to front and rear bumpers? Specifically, what snaps into the rectangle holes to screw the bracket on? Metal cage speed nut? Plastic grommets like this?

Seems like plastic would be best, but what screw size is correct? Can't find it in the PET. beerchug.gif

I'm sorry I don't know the exact size, but I had to pop in and say these are a pain in the ass to use. Mine did come with metal screws though. They work, but difficult to work with imo.

Those pics are from Belmetric but they have many different sizes. It seems like I've seen them at the FLAPS too.

AA has these listed. I'm guessing these are the correct part at a Porsche price. Seems like they are eventually going to rust though where plastic wouldn't.

Plastic parts shown are for mounting the center console or deposit box, not for plate bracket.

FYI, those screws are too long and will get into the chrome on the bumper. Use the rubber spacers and a shorter screw.

There was a separate thread on this recently.

Thanks! I was sure I'd seen a thread on this but it didn't turn up on Google search. Between that thread and the Aase ad Cary posted, I think I'm set. Thanks all!
