It's new video Sunday...and my engine build has finally begun! In this episode we'll check out the decked and align-bored case, and all the new parts that will be part of this 2056 D-Jet upgrade.
Thanks. Very cool that Jake Raby added some enouraging comments and tips on FB...though the pressure is on, now that I know the professor is watching....
Wasn't aware KB made cylinders... Thank you for the info.

Hmmm. You may be right. There's no KB stamping (or any stamping at all) on the jugs. They did come in the same style of box as the pistons, but I can't be sure of the manufacturer. When I called EMW, I just asked for a set of KB 96mm and cylinders.

If I remember, Jorge has his own cylinders, they are not AA. I think he as exclusivity on these.

Ill be building along Side you Ian... and Jorge is an exclusive AA distributor. In fact, he does the test and eval on their items and alot of research for them. I am finishing a 1911 build right now and so far their machine work has been spot on.

Don't forget to notch the rods for the oil squatter feature per the service bulletin, an easy job. Barefoot

I noticed that you had the heads, coated for heat shed, and the combustion chamber and valves coated, but not the piston heads.
Is there a reason for not doing it?
