Ha, I watched expecting the world to be going sideways across your windshield. Good reactions from everyone to avoid an accident.

Looks like someone pinched the end of turn 10.. as they added power.. on cold tires.. doh!

Yep... that black 911 balked at the start & bottled me up...2020 hindsight I should have dodged right around him and it all would have been behind me....but it's 2020 sooo....

I will post a few photos from this event. My wife took about 2000 photos during the event. There was a good turnout for the vintage group and a bunch of 914s were there. This was the start of one of the sprint races. Note the first 4 cars.
lalee914
This guy was the fastest in the vintage group. As I recall he was something like 6 sec faster than the next fastest. Don't know anything about the car.
lalee914
Steve Vasina's very fast 914.
lalee914
This guy was in the paddock near the guy I was crewing for. This was a very well done car.
lalee914
Another very well done 914
lalee914
Not all the interesting cars were Porsches...
lalee914
Another quick one.
lalee914
Not all the interesting Porsches were 914s either.

Thanks for sharing the pics - very nice!

The 911 in the last pic is a tube frame mid engine 911 built by Fabcar that ran in IMSA back on the mid 1990s. Very cool car.

This car used to be Tim McKenzie's before he died, now run by Brian Weathered - owner of Eurosport. He's a good driver, the car is HIGHLY developed...we modeled a lot of Papa Smurf after that car, though this car is basically fully tube frame under that skin. I think Brian set the VGTO class record and was a couple seconds faster than my best...

Watch this video for when Tim (in the #69) and a 911 turbo were racing at Road America. Its a VERY fast car...

Another quick one.

Don Jacobs...my nemesis...

And nice heads up driving John - I saw Wayne's in car video (the black 911) when he spun...yes, pinched the turn, cold tires... He's got a 3.6 in that thing!!
Good to see you, sad I couldn't join in the fun...
lalee914
a few more photos. I've seen this guy at Watkins a few times. Pretty nice car.
lalee914
Lots of 914s
lalee914
Another nice one
lalee914
This guy understands racing...
lalee914
Another fast 914
lalee914

There's an open wheel car that runs events 'round here that has "driver carries no cash" on the side..
lalee914
Next up is a series of Brian Watson doing some agricultural racing. This is all natural for Brian, he's an old dirt track guy.

Hang in there Brian...

Whew!

The Eurosport car looks like a car that used to be in NH built by a buy named Barry Brensinger and raced for a long time. I believe he sold it to someone with the last name Nuzzo (Nizzo?). It was a cool car and very quick.

Hey Matt - are you talking about the black/yellow 914? That is Tim McKenzie's old car (Tim passed away a few years ago, and Brian of Eurosport now owns it). I met Tim at Sebring and he showed me all the trick things they did to build that car. He had owned it for a long time - originally as stock. There really isnt much left on that car that's stock.
As example, here's the rear trunk area...

Tim won a lot of races with that car
