I'm considering replacing my steel wheels with the Riviera set from Auto Atlanta:

Has anyone bought these? Are they good? They seem inexpensive enough to make me wonder versus the Fuchs or other options.

I can't find a lot of 4 lug wheels around and the used Pedrini's are expensive and I don't want to get stuck with a warped one.

Looking forward to hearing your feedback.

At $520+ each I would not call them inexpensive. I run Riveras on some of my cars, but they are originals. I'm pretty sure you can get originals for 1/2 of that.
The reason they were called Riveras was because they were made by Rivera Porsche here in Portland.
I'd hope they are a good reproduction, they are a good look.

Sorry- wrong link and wrong wheel!

I was referring to the Empi Fuchs set of 4 with lugs and caps $678.96!

Unless Pendrinis have really taken off in recent times they are usually not too expensive. You should be able to find a good set around 500-700.

I would also not invest in new Riviera's as good used set can be had for 200-300. I would also not buy from AA but that's going down a rabbit hole.

I would up your budget a little and buy real 2.0 four lug Fuchs.
Forged, light, strong, proper offset so it will for a 195/205 tire, unlike empi or rivs.
Unlike all the other wheels, Fuchs always go up in value and have a classic look.

Pedrinis and Mahles are very soft cast aluminum. Most are bent. It usually takes 3-4 sets to make one good set of wheels.

^^ that's a set of 4 Mikey slap.gif

There are lots of 4 lug replicas fuchs, or cookies that look good and are proper offsest. I'm sorry but Rivs = icon8.gif

Or drill for 5 lug and get real Porsche wheels.... or fakes.

4 lug cookie 15 or 17

Yeah the first wheels were cheaper as was pointed out at a set of 4 for that price not EACH.

The fuchs have the correct offset for the 914 thankfully as most four on 130 have the vw offset so you cannot wear the widest tire.
These wheels are a good substitute for the factory fuchs as they look very similar but are very inexpensive compared to the real thing. You can strip the black backgroud off of them and make them look very much like the originals. they also are counter drilled to use the factory shorter lug bolts.
Although they are cast aluminum unlike the forged magnesium originals, they balance well and look good on the 914.

You seem to be open to wheel options. If that's the case, I have a brand new set of VTO Classic 8's. They are 15x7's, with caps & lugs. PM me if you have any interest. I bought them about 2 months ago for $860 shipped. I'd let them go for $700 if you wanted to pick them up or meet at a halfway point. If not, no worries......just giving you another option. Here's a thread on the wheels:

Much better as a set of 4
Personally Cip1 has really good value on wheels too
They also have lots of other parts that cross over
