I have a small-red-scale combo temp gauge 914 641 101 50 - I've modified a couple of things including adding an LED indicator in the previously dead space and LED lighting.

Wondering about numbering the temp scale.
Someone check my math - according to https://bowlsby.net/914/Classic/zTN_Elect_OilTempGauge2.jpg - this confirms the calibration markings on mine: 30 on the bottom line, 156.7 at the bottom of the red scale and 170 at the mid point of the red.

So - extrapolating from that:

30c and 170c at the top
That's a 140c swing - so that puts it 100c in the center with 65c at the 1/4 mark and 135 at the 3/4 mark - right?

Converting to F:
+/- 85 on the bottom, 150f at 1/4, 210 at 1/2, 275 at 3/4 and 335 at the top - right?

This is assuming 200c sender and jives with the Bowlsby.net info.

I reached out to https://www.heiler-tachodesign.de and they responded with the mock-up - but I was just sort of throwing numbers out there - but I think I'm close with this?

Suggestions? Should I leave the bottom "85" off as it's basically meaningless or should I leave it for symmetry?

Or....am I way off here?!

Symmetry is what I think would look best. Or rescale the the numbers completely.

North Hollywood Speedometer has a replacement for the original 914-6 oil temp gauge. I had my gauges redone by them years ago. You can take a look at the corresponding temperatures on my gauge for a comparison. I did have to replace my oil sender at the front of the engine to complete the swap.
