I was VERY surprised to find a BERU voltage regulator. SO there is no reason to buy OE Porsche voltage regulator. You can buy them every where. The 901 603 206 03 IS the replacement for the Bosch 901 603 206 02. Side by side comparison of the 02 and 03.

What were you expecting?
I have never seen one of the German auto manufactures produce parts like this in house, they were outsourced from day 1.
