Congrats! Good place to practice on if you are just getting started. Had my share of that didnt go so well moments.

Hi I use paints from Mipa, it is a German brand. I’m in The Netherlands so easily available over here...

Looking good. The 914 is coming together nicely if this is the standard of work !

Hi Dax, no did not go bare metal on the trunk. I replaced the rear panel and rear half of floor, those panels were epoxy primed on bare metal. Because the rest was almost rust free, except top part of shock towers, I did not go bare metal. Just a good sand, then filler primer, sand again 500 grid and then 2K direct gloss.

The shock towers I removed part of the seal seamer and sprayed with Brunox (rust killer). Then primer and added seal seamer to look original again.

So here are some pics of the work that went into the rear trunk... Becaue a wrong rear panel was welded in, it seems due to damage, I decided to replace the rear panel also. Only the rear part of the floor was replaced.
